Children, Young People and Families
Scotland aspires to be the best place in the world for children and young people to grow up. The Scottish Government’s policy and vision features a central role for partnership working across sectors to ‘Get it Right for Every Child’ (GIRFEC).
GIRFEC is the national approach designed to help co-ordinate services for children, young people and their families across Scotland. GIRFEC is a way of working which focuses on improving outcomes for all children by placing the child at the centre of thinking, planning and action.
Third Sector Organisations that contribute to the wellbeing of children and young people are part of GIRFEC and the Third Sector plays a significant role in helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes in their lives.
In Perth & Kinross, the Third Sector and Statutory Sector Partners are working together through the National Third Sector GIRFEC Project, to improve the multi-agency planning and development of services for Families and Children.
Your staff, volunteers and teams can get involved in practice forums and networks and in multi-agency learning and development. There are also opportunities to represent the sector in Strategic Planning Partnerships.
